Anfernee Lai is the Legal Practitioner Director and co-founder of AH2 Legal.

Anfernee completed his Bachelor of Laws at the University of Western Australia (UWA) before being admitted into the Supreme Court of Western Australia as well as the High Court of Australia.

Prior to leading the AH2 Legal team, Anfernee was a Partner in a successful law firm in Western Australia. With over 10 years of extensive legal experience, he has consistently assisted numerous clients with major commercial transactions as well as representing clients in complex litigation matters in the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Court of Western Australia. Besides that, Anfernee has also frequently represented clients in the Family Court of Western Australia.

As the vision carrier for AH2 Legal, Anfernee is fully committed to providing high quality specialised advice to his clients, enabling them to achieve the best possible outcomes in their respective legal matters. Anfernee’s vision through AH2 Legal as a vehicle, is to provide legal advice, support, and representation to those who are truly in need of such assistance.

Over the years, Anfernee has successfully negotiated countless positive out-of-court settlements, enabling his clients to avoid wasting precious time and resources. Herbert He

Herbert He is the founder of H2 Group and the Co-founder of AH2 Legal.

Herbert is registered in the High Court Roll of Practitioners and admitted as a lawyer in Western Australia. Before establishing H2 Legal Group, Herbert had extensive experience working in law firms in both WA and NSW. Herbert has more than ten years experience in the legal industry, particularly in the areas of Commercial Law (Dispute Resolution, Mergers & Acquisitions), Property Law as well as Migration Law. Herbert’s experience in building a successful migration firm and property settlement agency has also enhanced his expertise and provided him with a unique insight into the know-how of achieving success with commercial transactions. Herbert has particular understanding of the issues that can arise in the business context and is committed to delivering practical advice in reaching a commercial and cost-effective solution for his clients. As a lawyer involved in dispute resolution, Herbert regularly assists his clients in resolving international financial disputes. His knowledge and experience in cross-border transactions also greatly helps him in his work as a transactional lawyer.

Herbert also has experience representing and advising clients in a wide range of personal injury matters, a handful of which has resulted in large settlements. He is committed to helping his clients to obtain every cent of compensation to which they are entitled to.

Herbert is a Settlement Agent Licensee and registered migration agent. He also holds a Master of Translation and Interpreting from Western Sydney University. Through working with clients from diverse backgrounds, he has developed a high sense of cultural awareness, enabling him to understand and empathise better with clients from all backgrounds.

Outside of his practice, Herbert is also a passionate individual who commits his time to many community and charitable causes. Herbert is well respected and highly regarded among the Western Australia Chinese community through the many community work and associations that he is involved with. He is also the president of the Australian Labor Party, Canning Vale Branch.

Peter Foo

Peter Foo is the senior consultant of AH2 Legal.

Peter Foo completed his legal education in England and was called to the Bar in 1987 and subsequently was admitted as a legal practitioner in Brunei in the same year. Peter migrated to Perth and was admitted as a legal practitioner in Western Australia in 1992 and prior to that, had been the in-house legal counsel for Shell, Brunei.

Peter has extensive experience in the areas of Personal Injury Claims and Workers Compensation and prior to joining AH2 Legal as a legal consultant, he ran his own boutique law practice in WA. Peter had also been a partner of a well-known personal injury law firm in Western Australia.

As a highly regarded personal injury lawyer, Peter brings a wealth of knowledge and over 26 years of experience to AH2 Legal, ensuring the highest standard of legal advice to our clients.

Guan Kai Sim

Guan Kai Sim is a Partner at AH2 Legal.

He was admitted into the Supreme Court of Western Australia as well as the High Court of Australia after having graduated with double degrees in Bachelor of Laws and Commerce prior to attaining a Post-Graduate Certificate of Law from the Australian National University.

Guan Kai’s extensive experience and in-depth knowledge of the law has enabled him to successfully represent clients in Court for a wide range of Family and Commercial Law matters including complex property and financial settlements, parenting disputes, recovery and relocation matters, spousal and child support matters, de-facto relationships, divorce, domestic violence matters, commercial litigation, and debt recovery matters.

Guan Kai’s strengths also stem from his multi-lingual abilities – being fluent in not only English, but also in Cantonese, Mandarin, Malay, and other various local South East Asian dialects – in conjunction with his multi-cultural background, gives him the unique ability, insight, and experience to assist clients of various cultural backgrounds.

Guan Kai actively listens to his clients’ needs and wants – then analyses what can be accomplished within the limitations of the legal system and conveys this clearly to his clients. Burt completed his Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and Bachelors of Commerce (Accounting) before being admitted into the Supreme Court of Western Australia as a lawyer.

Burt is a solicitor specialising in commercial transactions. He provides representation and advises clients in a wide range of commercial transactions, including business acquisitions, business settlements, contractual disputes, commercial leasing transactions, as well as property matters.

Burt has experience providing strategic and commercial advice to clients across a range of industries. He is passionate about problem-solving and believes in the importance of open communication with his clients to ensure a comprehensive understanding of their unique situation.

Ching Cao (Adelaide)

Solicitor

Ching Cao is a consultant at AH2 Legal at the head of our Adelaide branch office in South Australia.

Ching completed her Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce at the University of South Australia before being admitted into practice at the Supreme Court of South Australia.

Prior to joining AH2, Ching worked as a commercial lawyer in a boutique commercial and migration firm in Melbourne, Victoria with a particular focus towards high net-worth individuals. She then returned to South Australia and opened her own practice providing services in commercial transactions and conveyancing which she runs concurrently to working at AH2 Legal.

Ching is able to quickly develop a thorough understanding of her clients’ commercial needs before providing strategic and timely advice to help them achieve optimal commercial outcomes.

Having come to Australia at a young age, Ching does not only have the necessary linguistic abilities but also an exceptional grasp of the relevant cultural nuances to assist both English and Mandarin speaking clients.

Ching is based in Adelaide, South Australia and helps to manage the AH2 Legal’s South Australian and Victorian offices.

Olive Ye (Melbourne)

Olive Ye is a conveyancer at AH2 Legal, Melbourne.

Olive completed her Masters degree at the University of Melbourne prior to joining AH2 Legal. Olive quickly found that managing property transactions was her perfect fit because of her desire to assist people during such an exciting time in their lives – becoming the owner of their new property.
